Ponder This

A Taste of Scripture, to go!

By Joan Carey

We know that most people don’t have time to attend a Bible study. Many find it challenging just to carve out a few minutes each day for prayer or to read the Bible on their own. So, for all of you “on the go,” we’ve packaged the truth of God’s Word for you to take with you as you go about your day.

The podcasts are short, modern-day parables that leave you pondering deeper truths of the faith.

We’ve also provided you with Scripture references and questions for reflection.

Weight of the Wait

Scripture Verses for further reflection:

Luke 1:39-42

During those days Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.”

Luke 1:46-49

And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.”
