Season 3 of the “Living Our Faith” Television Show Begins Nov. 28

Bishop William P. Callahan and Bob Dolan co-host

On Saturday, Nov. 28, “Catholic Knights presents Living Our Faith,” a 30-minute television program sponsored by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, returns for a third season. It will air at 11 a.m. on WISN TV 12 and on Time Warner Cable’s Wisconsin on Demand Channel 411.

Archdiocesan Administrator Bishop William Patrick Callahan, with Bob Dolan as his co-host, will host the five shows airing during fall. Four shows are scheduled for Saturday mornings, at 11 a.m. on November 28, December 12, 19 and 26.

The Nov. 28th show will feature Joel and John Rechlitz, the firefighters who saved David Harper from the burning van and members of St. Gregory the Great Parish, Milwaukee, as they talk about the role their faith plays in their work. Additionally, Juan Lopez, a Gulf War veteran and member of St. Anthony Parish, Milwaukee, will explain how his Catholic faith helped him and fellow marines in combat. Archbishop-designate Listecki will also be interviewed!

On Dec. 6, the only Sunday episode of “Living Our Faith” will air at 12:30 p.m. and feature an interview with current New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan, as well as an interview with Catholic author and columnist George Weigel.

The episode on Dec. 12 features Dan Hull, of St. James Parish, Franklin, speaking about the life of St. Joseph and the example he set as Christ’s earthly father. Also, Kevin O’Brien, a representative of the Men of Christ organization, speaks on the important role fathers’ play in helping their children develop their spirituality.

The Dec. 19th show features Deanne Lowe who will reflect on the preparation, anticipation and joy related to her experience as a foster parent and adoptive mother. And, Pius High School Teacher Peter Reeves will reveal reoccurring themes of transformation and hope in the Christmas films we watch year after year.

The final fall show of season three will air on Dec. 26 and feature Fr. Luke Strand talking about Catholic Youth Expedition; outdoor retreats which focus on prayer and the gospel. Nicole Fastabend and Brad Conners will talk about being young lay leaders in the Catholic community.

In addition to inspirational guests, each program will feature stories from throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, an “Ask Fr. Jerry” segment, with Fr. Jerry Herda, St. Monica Parish, Whitefish Bay, where folks ask and get answers to their questions about the Catholic faith, and a closing reflection given by Bishop Callahan.

During Lent and beginning on February 13, the final eight shows of season three will air. Dates and times will be determined.

All episodes, including those from seasons one and two, are available for viewing online at www.livingourfaith.net.
